To create a whiskey with a distinctive tropical fruit kick, the folks behind Tullamore D.E.W. have finished their whiskey (made with a blend of single pot still, single malt and grain whiskies) in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. They have achieved what they set out to do – this one boasts plenty of fruit, while maintaining the classic Tullamore D.E.W. character.
